The Duchess of Yowl required both hands

Sorry for the missing blog post.
The Duchess of Yowl required both hands for emergency petting today.
She was betwixt caretakers for more minutes than the law should allow.
That part of the time was taken up with naps, grooming, and hurling invectives at birds on the balcony was no excuse.

Why are you not petting me right now??

I knew agents had to be ambidextrous. But who turns the pages on the book you're reading while emergency-petting DOY with both hands?

Yes, Maccallan will make it hard to pet a cat properly. It was never one of my favorites back in my scotch days.

I hope the Duchess is settled in now. Our cats have been out of sort too, a front is squeezing all of the water out of a clog of deep tropical moisture over our house. The Scruluce has been bouncing off the walls all day and the other three are giving me the evil eye.

Wait until they see the next couple of days, this is supposed to be the driest day for a while. I measured 2.2.5 inches of rain today.

You were at the mercy of She Who Must Be Obeyed. No blog post necessary.

Always take care of emergency petting. No explanations required.

This was my day off this week... and I wrote for three hours, anyway. But it was very restful. Tomorrow, it is back to painting, painting, painting in the new house. Someone please explain to me why I thought buying another old house was such a good idea. The sheer volume of trim is going to kill me.

Amy, you do it because (unlike writing), once it's finished, it's finished.

And, it looks so beautiful!

Someday, I'll tell you about my renovation experience. My husband *promised* we could do the 1940s kitchen first...

Cats always take precedence and TDOY is at the top of the list!

Amy, we picked up our bathroom remodel stuff today. I can't wait. But we did a reno on a house two houses ago. We replaced all the cove molding. OY! Never again. And now, as we go, guess what we're doing here....I feel your pain...

But, Nightmusic, once you get done figuring out how to cut the weird angles of cove, or better yet Crown, molding, you are an expert at it.

Back to the one step forward and two steps back that is query writing.

Yes, there are rules about these things.
When we get something wrong Ramona runs around yelling,
"Unlegal!! Unlegal!!"
